Tom Garrity is a strategy and ownership-transition executive with experience in lower-middle market family and closely held businesses. He has a keen ability to quickly understand a business model, narrow the focus on the strategic priorities, and then implement strategies for business growth. Tom's career grew from the trenches and includes customer service, distribution center construction and management, sales, sales management, government contracting, and executive management.
Tom has traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada, Western Europe and throughout the Pac Rim, Indonesia, and Australia. He has set up manufacturing facilities, developed distribution and sales channels, and held complete P&L accountability as the CEO of two middle market manufacturing companies. He is recognized for his leadership and teamwork.
Tom has worked with hundreds of business owners and companies to develop stronger organizations and exit strategies. He also has extensive experience working with families in business, helping with conflict resolution, governance, and next generation planning.
Tom graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial Economics. He is a current board member for The Forum for Ethics in the Workplace, Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation, and The Presidents Council at DeSales University. He is a Certified Strategic Planning Advisor/Coach of Gazelle's International, and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor by the Exit Planning Institute (CEPA).
